The WASH and the go-live of the medical equipment at Aira General Hospital were officially launched by the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus Development and Social Services Commission (EECMY-DASSC).

The Protestant Agency for Development and Diakonia (PADD), which funds the AGH's capacity enhancement initiative, provided the medical equipment, including the first CT scan of its sort in western Oromia.

The AGH WASH initiative, however, was funded by Neverthirst. Elders from the community, representatives from government line agencies, Mr. Bekele Mulatu from PADD Horn of Africa Regional Office, AGH employees, Wollega University representatives, synod leaders from nearby synods, and more Aira people take part in the event.
