The Aira General Hospital water system that was built by missionaries three decades ago is used by the residents of the Hospital and the area around it. However, due to a considerable rise in the town's population and a decrease in water discharge as a result of climate change, the plan was unable to meet the needs of the community. As a result, the program only benefits the community six months out of the year. Therefore, the community were required to travel 70 minutes for a round trip to gather water from a river to meet their household's daily water consumption requirements of 120 liters.

Most of the family members, especially the children, were significantly impacted by water-born infections because they were drinking river water. In addition to being time-consuming, fetching water takes up time that they should be spending working. Above all, they found their life to be arduous due to the hospital's water deficit. In the hospital, they claimed, "there was no water to the point where patients couldn't find water to take the pills."

Everything has changed since then. "We appreciate EECMY-DASSC, Neverthirst's and its back donor's unwavering efforts to provide us with clean water." The hospital now has water service for all of its facilities, and cleanliness and hygiene have greatly improved. They continued by saying that we must concentrate on finding ways to maintain the services and pay for the upkeep and operation of the water schemes

አብዛኛዎቹ የቤተሰብ አባላት በተለይም ህጻናት የወንዝ ውሃ ስለሚጠጡ በውሃ ወለድ ኢንፌክሽን ከፍተኛ የጤና እክል አጋጥሟቸዋል። ውሃ መቅዳት ብዙ ጊዜ ከመውሰዱ የተነሳ ለሥራ የሚያውሉትን ጊዜ አቃጥሎባቸዋል። ከሁሉም በላይ በሆስፒታሉ በተከሰተው የውሃ እጥረት የተጠቃሚዎች ህይወት ችግር ገጥሞታል። በሆስፒታሉ ውስጥ ታካሚዎች ክኒኖችን ለመውሰድ እንኳ የውሃ እጥረት ተከስቶ እንደነበር ተጠቃሚዎች በማስታወስ አሁን ላይ ሁሉም ነገር ተለውጦ EECMY-DASSC፣ Neverthirst እንዲሁም ከጀርባ ሆኖ ይህንን ንጹህ ውሃ በመለገስ ያላሰለሰ ጥረት ውስጥ የተሳተፉትን አካላት ሁሉ ያመሰግናሉ። ሆስፒታሉ አሁን ለሚያከናውነው ስራ በሙሉ የውሃ አገልግሎት ያለው ሲሆን ንፅህናን በተመለከተም እጅግ ተሻሽሏል ። ይህንን አገልግሎት ለማስቀጠል እንዲሁም ጥገናን በተመለከተ ለወደፊቱ መንገድ መቀየስ እንደሚገባም ተናግረዋል ።
