EECMY DASSC has been working on women's empowerment for over three decades, and it has been one of the cross-cutting issues since the last strategic plan. Contrary to its being a long-term focus of the Commission, the achievement so far is not satisfactory. To address this challenge, WEIDP is considered one of the thematic focuses of the Commission for the five years of the SP.
